OUR TEAM
Murdoch Gatti
Founder & CEO | Private Wealth Advisor
Murdoch Gatti is the Founder and CEO of York Wealth Management, a Sydney-based firm advising high-net-worth and ultra-high-net-worth Australians.
Prior to founding York, Murdoch built his career over two decades within leading financial services and capital markets institutions, including Shaw and Partners and HiFX (now OFX).
During this time, he advised high-net-worth individuals and families across both public and private markets, gaining deep exposure to institutional research, capital markets transactions, foreign exchange and complex portfolio structuring.
Murdoch has developed a reputation for safeguarding and compounding generational wealth through disciplined capital allocation, strategic asset structuring and prudent risk management. His advisory approach integrates strategic and tactical investment management with broader financial structuring — including asset protection, capital markets execution and long-term succession planning.
His work is grounded in a macro-driven portfolio construction framework, allocating capital across asset classes, managers and geographies in line with where he sees the greatest opportunity over the cycle. Portfolios are typically structured using a core-satellite approach, combining stable, long-term exposures with more opportunistic investments as conditions evolve.
This includes accessing both public markets and selectively sourcing less readily available opportunities, such as private equity, property development and private credit, where appropriate and aligned to client objectives.
Murdoch is often engaged by clients as a problem solver — particularly where capital is meaningful and situations are complex. By working through the core issues first, whether structural, strategic or investment-related, he builds long-term relationships grounded in trust, where clients increasingly rely on him as a central advisor across multiple areas of their financial affairs.
Murdoch holds a Master of Commerce (Finance), a Bachelor of Design & Computing, and a Diploma of Financial Planning. He is RG146 compliant across securities, superannuation, foreign exchange, margin lending and managed investments.
He is also the host of The Rate of Change, a podcast focused on long-term wealth creation through conversations with leading investors, fund managers and industry experts.
Outside the firm, Murdoch and his wife Yasmin are raising their two children and enjoy an active lifestyle — travelling, 4WDing, surfing, boating and spending time outdoors.
Yasmin Gatti
COO | Chief Operating Officer
Yasmin Gatti brings over 20 years of experience across wealth management, institutional markets and funds management, with a career spent operating at the center of how capital moves between investors, advisors and institutions.
She began her career in funds management with Orion Asset Management before moving into private wealth at JB Were, where she worked as a Client Services Manager supporting high-net-worth clients and intermediary advisor relationships. In this role, she was directly involved in managing client portfolios, facilitating transactions, and supporting financial planners in delivering advice to sophisticated clients.
At Shaw Stockbroking, Yasmin progressed into a senior client services role, taking responsibility for account establishment, portfolio administration, asset transfers and complex matters including deceased estates. Her team supported over 150 advisor groups, requiring precision, responsiveness and a deep understanding of client structures and custody arrangements.
She later moved to Patersons Securities (now Canaccord Genuity), where she transitioned into the institutional side of the market as the Executive Institutional Dealer’s Assistant within the Institutional team. In this capacity, she was involved in executing domestic and international equities and options trades, and supporting capital raises for ASX-listed companies — working closely with senior executives and institutional clients.
At Canaccord Genuity, Yasmin supported the Executive Chairman of Wealth and was involved in the recruitment and onboarding of advisory teams. She acted as the central point of coordination throughout the process — liaising across recruiters, legal, compliance, advisors and internal stakeholders to manage timelines, ensure all information flowed accurately between parties, and oversee the operational execution of each transition. This included reviewing documentation for completeness and accuracy, tracking progress against key milestones, and preparing financial and performance reporting to support internal decision-making, ensuring advisor transitions were implemented efficiently with minimal disruption to underlying clients.
Yasmin is an equity partner and Chief Operating Officer of York Wealth Management, responsible for the operational management and execution of the business. She oversees the implementation of client strategies, portfolio transitions and the day-to-day coordination required to ensure advice is delivered accurately, efficiently and without friction.
In her role as Chief Operating Officer, Yasmin operates across all areas of the business — including operations, client service, platform coordination and implementation — ensuring that the firm runs effectively while maintaining a high standard of client delivery. Working closely with clients, advisors, platforms, counterparties and providers, she manages the execution of client strategies and portfolio transitions with accuracy, timeliness, and control.

OUR STORY
Our approach to wealth management is centred on preserving and growing wealth across generations.
Our family has a long history of entrepreneurship and intergenerational wealth creation. On my mother’s side, my grandfather founded Lay-Back Auto Seats, a pioneering business that patented the ratchet mechanism enabling bench seats to recline. He later brought to Australia and commercialised the Porta-Cot, owning the patent and building a successful business around it.
On my father’s side, my family were third-generation landowners and farmers in Western Australia — a legacy built on resilience, discipline, and long-term stewardship of assets.
This foundation in business ownership and capital management has shaped our understanding of how wealth is built, preserved, and transferred across generations.
